announced that it became one of the key sponsors of the triennial
IEA Heat Pump Conference in Chicago, the U.S. from May 15 to May
18, 2023. This brings together the industry and researchers to
talk about the latest advancements in the heat pump field. This is
the second time that Ƶhas sponsored this conference,
following Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 2017.
To achieve long-term climate and energy goals, the increase of heating and cooling through renewable energy is needed, in combination with large-scale refurbishment and renovation of the worlds existing buildings and industrial infrastructure. The upcoming conference serves as a forum to discuss the latest technologies in heat pumps and exchange valuable knowledge on related topics.
With its sponsorship, ƵEurope N.V. aims to inspire associations, manufacturers, and policymakers about the value of hydronic heat pumps for society and how to implement them in their markets. The European hydronic heat pump market, lead by the air-to-water heat pump segment, can serve as an example. It is on a fast growth track thanks to the commitment to the Green Deal and Fit for 55 plans by the European Commission. With an explosive growth of 43% between 2021 and 2022, Ƶexpects the market to grow even further to 10 million hydronic heat pumps per year by 2030 in Europe.
To respond to that growth, ƵEurope N.V. has announced significant investments in the heat pump industry in Europe.
